- Fine tuning of Piano (to concert pitch; A440 or to current pitch)
- Pianolas (player pianos) and overdamper will attract an extra charge of $10
- Player pianos (pianolas) PLEASE NOTE Chris's services do NOT include the servicing or repair of pianola actions; only the piano part.
Pitch Raise: $50-$140
- The fee will vary according to how flat the piano's pitch is. Pitch raise phase is then followed by the fine tuning ($200)
Interior Cleaning: $50 - $160
- The cleaning charge will vary according to your preference, and how much cleaning is necessary. Grand pianos, because of their horizontal layout, tend to collect much more dust on the soundboard, and are more difficult to clean.
Removal of Lost Motion: $40-$80
- The variation in cost depends upon to type of mechanism and amount of lost motion.
Other Repairs:
- These will need to be assessed at the time. Such repairs will be discussed with the customer and quoted before proceeding (see note 2 below)
Travel Charge: Distances of over 50 km may attract a travel charge, depending upon distance and other circumstances.
Piano Inspection: $50.00 - $100.00 (Variable, depending upon travel. I try to keep this cost low)
Payment Method: Cash, cheque, or direct bank transfer (internet or local bank) is all fine!
NOTES:
1. Prices schedules will be followed as closely as is reasonably possible. However, prices may depend upon factors relevant to the piano’s condition.
2. Extent of repairs and regulation may entail further work and cost: eg easing one key would come within the overall charge (most times!). However, replacing six strings and gluing ten key-tops would be a different matter. If such repairs are needed, this will be discussed with you before any work commences.
3. Piano inspection price may be incorporated into any future work, such as tuning, repairs or regulating.
4. Some of these charges may be impacted by travel.
